Hatch donates protective masks to local communities and health care centers in Australia amid global shortages
During the COVID-19 pandemic, government and healthcare systems across the world have been unable to obtain sufficient amounts of protective equipment due to global demand. Healthcare workers and vulnerable community members are reported to be desperately searching for masks amid the shortage as they need to ensure the ongoing protection of frontline workers and the larger community.
In January, as the COVID-19 outbreak started to rapidly evolve, we took the precautionary action to order a significant number of protective masks to protect out workforce throughout the Australia-Asia region.
With our workforce now working remotely from home, a good stockpile of masks were unused and we realized there was a greater need in our communities for the masks. We have taken this as an opportunity to help communities, frontline workers, and those most vulnerable to the virus and have donated a total of 1,000 protective masks.
We celebrate the efforts of our front-line workers and community, and are proud to have played a small part to help during the COVID-19 pandemic.
